Stein Brew

Steinbier means “stone beer” in German.Stein Brewing is an olde method of brewing beer, using hot stones as the heat source for boiling the wort in a wooden brew kettle. For over a decade, LIBME has been doing an nnual Stein Brew event. For anyone not familiar with this ridiculous process, we adorn Viking apparel and boil 40+ gallons of beer in a used wooden wine barrel using hot rocks that we heat up in a fire pit all morning while simultaneously praying to Odin that the police don’t show up. The wort gets divided amongst the participants. Everyone brings home wort and makes their own amazing creations that get shared at a future meeting.

Viking attire is encouraged.
Sacrifices are optional.
Brewcalibur is rumored to make an appearance.
